About the Course
AKC S.T.A.R Puppy Class is a 6-week in-person training program designed to teach your puppy the training basics, how to trust you, and how to listen with new distractions outside of the comfort of their home. This class will help teach you how to train your pup using only positive reinforcement, no matter at what level your dog is. This class includes 6 weeks of instruction during class, a clicker, and access to training videos to review training techniques at home in between classes.

Robbie Barnes, BS, CPDT-KA, is the head of the Training and Wellness Center. Robbie has been a trainer for over 12 years and uses ONLY positive reinforcement methods to train dogs, as it is the most humane way to train a dog. It helps the dog learn to think during training and strengthens the human-canine bond by building trust. This method is also confidence-building for the human at the other end of the leash. Robbie also keeps up to date with the newest advances in dog training by completing continuing education courses each year.
